About Us

We have been together twelve years, married for ten of them.  We started swinging in 2004.  About a year after we started swinging we realized that we were also open to the idea of polyamory, the acceptance of having more than one loving, intimate relationship at a time.  Since then we have enjoyed both with some wonderful people.

When asked “why?”, we can sum it up in one word: Compersion.  Compersion is the positive feelings one gets when a lover is enjoying another relationship and feels happy and fulfilled in life.  Compersion is the opposite of jealousy.

We love the fact that each other can enjoy, and in some cases love, physical and emotional relationships with others.

We truly take joy in each others joy.

Opening-up our relationship was simply sharing with others the abundance and overflow of love and lust in ours, rather than waste it and let it dissipate to nothing.  And our lives have been incredibly richer because of it.  The love you receive truly is equal to the love you give.

The purpose of this blog is to candidly put-out there our ideas on having an open relationship and what it has meant for us.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.  We hope you’ll continue to follow us and add us to your RSS Reader.
